Balinese people just can’t help them toward religious ceremonies and other ritual related things. Something that even I myself sometimes do not understand why as I compared it to the original source of Hinduism which is India. Yeah I know those who called themselves Balinese culture experts  would say that, you can not compare Hindu in Bali and Hindu in India because what exist in Bali a mixture between religion, Balinese culture and local genius (local idiot?). Actually there are only four major categories of Balinese ritual based on Hinduism, please noted that the the word yadnya itself literally meaning sacrifice.
1. Dewa Yadnya: this is a ritual which are dedicated to the God itself. All ceremonies which are held in temples usually can be categorized into Dewa Yadnya such as the ceremony for a temple’s birthday, ground breaking ceremony etc.

2. Pitra Yadnya: the word pitra means ancestors in Balinese language, so simply speaking PitraYadnya is a ceremony which is specifically dedicated for the ancestors such as cremation ceremony (Ngaben).

3. Manusa Yadnya: this is the ceremony which is dedicated to man related matters such as tooth filling ceremony, 6 months old baby ceremony, 3 months old baby ceremony etc.

4. Bhuta Yadnya: the word bhuta derived from the word bhutakala meaning  the demon power. The ceremony for the demon is aimed to calm down them so they will not disturb the human.
